Dashing Through The Snow 2016 Overview
We KNOW it’s cold outside! That’s why it is important that we do what we can to assist others – especially during the Holiday season. Again this year, Tri To Finish would like to ask participants to come out and Dash Through the Snow for a good cause at this 4th annual event. A portion of the proceeds from this event will once again go to the Lighthouse Outreach Center of Saginaw to assist them in creating a warm, safe haven for those unfortunate enough to be without.
Besides, as far as we here at Tri To Finish are concerned, there's no such thing as "too cold" for a beautiful run through the woods and along the river; especially if you're running for a good cause. Let’s take some time to get out and enjoy the cool weather and beauty of Saginaw County’s Imerman Park trail with a bit of exercise (and a cool, long sleeved event t-shirt!) to relieve the seasonal stress. A good, hard run should be in order to earn that holiday meal!
New for this year… Senior pricing! Again this year, youth pricing is being offered for the Dash. We are all about encouraging children to get out and get active, and with the amount of sugar cookies they’ll soon be consuming we figure to help parents out by encouraging the kiddos to run!
This will be a USATF sanctioned event that will be professionally managed and timed with online results being posted within 48 hours of race completion. There will be plenty of good cheer on the trail with holiday music and a possible visit from the "Big Man" himself. Ho, ho, ho!
Imerman Park is the setting for a beautiful 1.5 mile loop that runners and walkers will complete twice. A firmly packed trail (no promises on snow!) winds through the woods and along the Tittabawassee River, making for a scenic outing. The course is mostly flat with a few small inclines.
This is a fun, lighthearted event that is dog friendly (so long as YOUR DOG IS FRIENDLY)!
Saginaw County Parks & Recreation does an outstanding job maintaining this park and Tri To Finish is more than happy to showcase their efforts.
